An additional device category with ATEX and IECEx approval now joins WAGO’s Pro 2 product line. With it, these power supplies can also be used in Zone 2 and Zone 22 hazardous areas. Hazardous areas include potentially explosive environments caused by escaping vapors or gases in combination with ambient air. So-called Ex areas and the devices used there are subject to extremely strict safety requirements. To meet these requirements, the power supply system requires a separate approval; this approval has now been issued for the Pro 2 product line’s single-phase power supplies.
