BACnet: control de edificios independiente del fabricante

«Building Automation and Control Networks» (BACnet) es un protocolo de transferencia de datos empleado en la automatización y control de edificios. BACnet simplifica la comunicación entre productos de diferentes fabricantes dentro de la automatización en edificios.

Descripción general de BACnet

BACnet fue desarrollado por «American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers Inc.», abreviado, ASHRAE. Publicado como norma estadounidense en 1995, BACnet ha sido la norma ISO 16484-5 desde 2003. BACnet proporciona una automatización en edificios abierta e interoperable. Como resultado de ello, pueden implementarse ampliaciones y modificaciones con independencia del fabricante y de los sistemas implicados. Esto es posible gracias al uso de puntos de datos comunes y funciones coordinadas.

Integración flexible: BACnet en la automatización en edificios

Existe una multitud de diferentes protocolos de automatización en edificios; en proyectos a gran escala, es muy común que cada sistema individual sea independiente del resto. BACnet conecta los diferentes sistemas y productos, facilitando el intercambio de datos entre dispositivos distintos dentro de un sistema global común. BACnet es compatible con numerosas tecnologías y topologías, incluido el protocolo IP, que permite la integración de los sistemas de climatización, control de iluminación, seguridad y alarmas antiincendios a nivel de gestión y automatización.
