During the planning process, determining whether the installation will be pluggable or conventional has not occurred. This is why lighting is frequently planned with the universal Linect® Interface. The Linect® Lighting Interface is designed for both conventional or pluggable wiring. The design with the pluggable Linect® T-Connector is shown here.
The mains voltage and the DALI bus are supplied via standard installation cable (1+2), which is installed by the customer at the jobsite. Supply can be separated in two different cables, or combined in one five-pole installation cable. The five-pole WINSTA® Socket and Strain-Relief Housing (3) are connected by the customer at the jobsite. The Linect® T-Distribution Connectors (4) and preassembled interconnecting cables (5) are used for the mains voltage and DALI. The DALI lights (8) are designed with five-pole DALI Linect® Interfaces. The Linect® T-Connectors (4) are simply snapped on to the DALI lights (8). In this example, the DALI sensors (9) are powered via the DALI cable. One end of the two-wire sensor connecting cable (7) is fitted with a five-pole plug that is connected to the T-distribution connector (6). The sensor (9) is installed with the open end of the connecting cable (7) on the jobsite.
