PFC200 Controllers with Sparkplug
MQTT based Sparkplug protocol supported by PFC200
Digitalization offers companies the great opportunity to shape their future dynamically and successfully. However, the digital transformation also entails many challenges. Networking, analytics, increased productivity and new business models are all challenges that have to be faced on a daily basis. There are no hard and fast rules for handling the digital transformation successfully. Therefore, forward-thinking companies need solutions tailored to meet their specific system requirements.
Sparkplug was developed primarily for connecting Edge of Network Nodes (EoN) to a MQTT broker. The broker is then responsible for distributing the data to clients such as SCADA and historian applications. In this architecture the EoN devices are "de-coupled" from the application allowing for a more efficient transport of data and reducing network traffic. WAGO’s second generation PFC200 controllers support the Sparkplug protocol helping users to streamline communications.
Advantages
- PFC200 as Edge of Network node to control or monitor local equipment and easily exchange data with SCADA or Historian applications.
- Use the secure publish and subscribe Sparkplug standard to de-couple applications in the IIoT age.
- PFCs as a data concentrator, collecting information from existing plant for via MODBUS, EtherNet/IP, CANopen or EtherCAT.
- With over 500+ I/O modules, collect and control systems with most any type of signal.
