Connecting DALI Sensors

Space-Saving Connection in a DALI Line

Description

DALI sensors are primarily supplied via the two-wire DALI cable (DA+ and DA-). In some projects, “mixed” operation of DALI lights and sensors is not desired within a DALI line. In these instances, the space-saving two-pole MINI system is recommended for connecting DALI sensors. The two-pole DALI line is supplied by the DALI master via standard installation cable (1) from the subdistribution board. The two-pole WINSTA® Socket and Strain Relief Housing (2) are mounted on the standard supply cable. Two-pole T-distribution connectors (3) are used for integrating the DALI sensors (5) into the DALI line. Two-wire interconnection cables (6) to the through wiring and connecting cables (4) are used on the T-distribution connectors for connecting DALI sensors (5). The sensors (5) are connected with the free end of the connecting cable (4) at the jobsite.
