From Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) to Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs), driverless transport systems (DTS) are essential to modern intralogistics and a key component of any automation strategy. Do you already have an existing infrastructure or building management system (BMS)? WAGO provides flexible integration of your infrastructure into fleet management software, supporting standardized communication such as VDA 5050. A wide range of options is available for this, including elevation and door interfacing, with numerous interfaces such as KNX® and BACnet®.

This facilitates the seamless integration of AGVs or AMRs into your production process. Our automation solutions allow you to either modify your existing Building Management System (BMS) or fully reintegrate it as needed. WAGO also provides the option to integrate limit switches for gates, either with remote I/O systems in IP67 or IP20, to ensure optimal control and safety. Industrial Trucks

Both AGVs and AMRs are types of driverless transport vehicles with their own drive systems. They are designed to pull or transport materials. Since both AGVs and AMRs are driverless, their integrated technology must be particularly robust. WAGO provides this with maintenance-free interconnection and PCB connection technology, rail-mount terminal blocks, and vibration-proof industrial controllers, all of which are used on the robots’ motherboards. To ensure error-free and autonomous operation as an AGV, our system manages your control tasks and communication within the network infrastructure. Charging/Load Management for Electric Industrial Trucks

The topic of e-mobility is prevalent today, impacting not only passenger vehicles on the road but also industrial trucks in various industrial environments. In order to ensure efficient and cost-effective vehicle charging while avoiding peak loads, intelligent charging and load management is required. WAGO Application Load Management (WALM) is a dynamic load management system that regulates the total charging power at a grid connection point, considering the maximum connection capacity. WALM helps prevent peak loads when charging electric industrial trucks. Additionally, our solution facilitates seamless integration into higher-level systems and provides direct communication with the fleet manager, ensuring optimal power regulation and enhanced energy efficiency.

Conveyor Belt

In intralogistics, conveyor belts are crucial for the fast and precise transport of goods, including both bulk and individual items. These transport systems often cover long distances fully automated. The conveyor belt is powered by either a pulling or pushing drive system. The WAGO Pro 2 Power Supply for 48 VDC or 24 VDC ensures a constant and fail-safe roller drive. It is particularly important to account for the starting moments required to efficiently power the roller drives, ensuring smooth startup and operation of the conveyor belts. In addition to providing efficient power supply, the intelligent communication interface can also collect data, offering a foundation for analysis. The “WAGO Library Analytics” software solution for WAGO Controllers enables you to analyze, evaluate, and optimize processes without leaving your familiar PLC programming environment. This makes it easy to implement mechanisms and detect anomalies using the WAGO library. Unplanned downtime becomes a thing of the past.
