As more operating systems support automatic dark mode schedules that will turn on in the evening when it's getting darker outside, functional interfaces should include dark mode colour variants to follow the users interface reference. Additionally to central OS settings, users might also have the option to choose their preferred interface look within the software, overwriting OS schedules.
