Product Overview

221 Series Splicing Connectors and Accessories

WAGO Splicing Connector with Levers Green Range

Simpler, faster, safer: These are the familiar features of the 221 Series Splicing Connector. We've rethought that product and developed a variant of bio-circular and recycled plastics. This keeps existing resources in circulation and is a first step on the path to more sustainable products.

Advantages:

  • Plastics made in part from post-consumer recycled material (e.g., recycled PET bottles) and bio-based industrial and household waste (bio-circular)
  • Reduced consumption of fossil resources
  • Same quality and certifications as the familiar 221 Series Splicing Connector

Splicing Connectors with Levers, 221 Series

WAGO's 221 Series Splicing Connectors connect all conductor types ranging from 0.14 to 6 mm2 (24–10 AWG). Discover their sophisticated design, easy handling, diverse variants and unbeatable advantages.

Inline Splicing Connector with Levers, 221 Series

WAGO's 221 Series Inline Splicing Connector connects all conductor types – at once. This connector condenses the industry-leading 221 Series Splicing Connectors’ advantages into a slim design. What's more, optional adapters provide completely modular mounting. Users get the flexibility of having five fixed-position poles in one adapter.

Junction Box for 221 Series Splicing Connectors

Things can get confusing wherever multiple cables meet. The WAGO Junction Box helps you connect up to 60 conductors with WAGO’s 221 Series Splicing Connector for all conductor types with cross-sections up to 4 mm2 (12 AWG).

Gelbox – Moisture Protection for WAGO Splicing Connectors

The WAGO Gelbox provides IPX8 levels of protection for WAGO's splicing connectors – quickly, easily and reliably! It is available in six sizes and is compatible with WAGO’s 221 Series Splicing Connectors, for example.

Jumper – Get More Clamping Points on One Potential

WAGO's jumper increases the number of clamping points for the WAGO 221 Series Splicing Connectors on one potential. It creates potential distributions with up to eight connection points in the DIN-rail adapter and is available in four variants: with or without a locking of the contact point lever, both available in blue or gray.

WAGO's 221 Series Splicing Connector for hazardous areas offers entirely new design possibilities, particularly for the manufacturers of distribution boxes, terminal boxes, lights or electronic devices.

The unbeatable benefits of the 221 Series Splicing Connectors

Two Sizes for All Conductor Types

Quickly and easily connect all conductor types of different cross sections using two-, three-, and five-wire terminal blocks. The new connectors accommodate fine-stranded conductors from 0.14 to 4 mm2, as well as solid and stranded conductors from 0.2 to 4 mm2 (24–12 AWG). With the 6 mm2 (10 AWG) variant, you can connect all conductor types – with cross sections from 0.5 to 6 mm2 (2−10 AWG).

Compact Splicing Connectors for solid, stranded and fine-stranded conductors for 12-24 AWG and 10-20 AWG

Extremely Easy to Use

You can open WAGO’s splicing connectors easily and quickly. Opening the levers on the 221 Series requires little effort. This means you can connect conductors quickly – and without any tools! While connecting the conductor, recessed handles on the sides ensure an easy, secure grip on the connector.

Two Test Slots

With the new 221 Series Splicing Connectors, you can now test the voltage from both sides – even when installed. The connectors have two test slots right where the WAGO imprint appears: one in the conductor entry direction and one on the opposite side. This accessibility provides extremely convenient testing conditions, even after installation, within a wide range of applications. Every connector variant also provides a secure contact for all standard test probes.

The 221 Series Conquers the Distribution Cabinet

Mounting carriers are available for every 221 Series Splicing Connector – whether it's the two-, three- or five-wire model. They can be mounted vertically or horizontally. Secure the carrier by snapping it onto the DIN-rail, or with screws on smooth surfaces. The flexible mounting clamps simplify both connector insertion and removal. Conductors can be conveniently connected and removed before or after inserting a connector into the carrier. One test slot is always accessible, ensuring compliance with VDE standards.
