用於充電基礎設施的負載管理系統允許將電動汽車擴充並整合到電網中。電動車充電的負載管理控制多個充電站的功率，以優化現有電網連接的利用率 – 無需提高額定功率，甚至無需在電網連接點安裝新變壓器。因此，在有多個充電站的地方，通常需要負載管理系統來整合充電基礎設施，因為樓宇、停車場和地下車庫通常沒有設計大的電力儲備。
